The Adult Education Budget (AEB) supports adults aged 19+ to develop essential skills, vocational competence and career progression opportunities. Funding can fully cover eligible learners depending on age, prior attainment and employment status.
Skills Funding Group holds a direct AEB contract and also delivers devolved AEB provision, enabling us to respond flexibly to both national and regional skills priorities. AEB is particularly valuable for entry-level and sector-specific training where apprenticeships may not be the most suitable route.
For employers, AEB can provide funded upskilling for staff who need foundational qualifications or sector entry training. For individuals, it offers accessible pathways to improve employability and progression without financial barriers.
